A New Year Always Offers A Clean Slate

I love the beginning of a new year. For me, it’s not about leaving a bad year behind, making a ton of resolutions to “change” something or really doing anything much different from the year before. It is, however, a time for fresh perspective, a clean slate and an opportunity to get organized and energized. Why can’t I do this any of the other 11 months? I don’t know, it’s just better in January!

The first order of business, my office. I am going to put myself on a schedule, working from home, working remotely. This routine will keep me on track with honoring a normal work day schedule. The dining room and living room are asking for a break from my conference calls. Wandering room-to-room all hours of the day and taking calls and working off my laptop is not the most solid of plans. I am also working with a professional to get the office just how I want it to provide optimal functionality and inspiration. 2022 is about working smarter(the original plan)-let’s stay on track.

Second, I’m flattered, no, honored that 2021 presented some amazing opportunities. But were they all a good fit? Not all of them. And that is ok! I vowed to stay true to building a book of business that was a good fit for me, my team and my expertise. Don’t just say yes to say yes. So, what is the plan? I need to update my website and really hone in on what services, markets and channels we excel at and how we can help to evolve, spotlight and grow your brand. All good things here! Also, if JamCom is not the perfect fit, I happily introduce you to one of my amazing peers that CAN help you.

Lastly, who builds strategy and content for social media marketing, but barely invests in their own social media presence? Me, that’s who! I am vowing here and now, to be more engaging on the Jamison Communications Instagram. I want to offer a page that is not only light and fun, but also honest and informative when offering marketing strategy and marketing tips. I also want to share  my thoughts more on industry trends…there are a lot of them, and many that you shouldn’t waste your time on.  Give us a follow, @jamisoncommunications.

Cheers to another great year together!
